ALWAYS HIGH-QUALITY

We never shortchange! We let the encoding take as much time as required to offer commercial-grade high-quality results. We have over 10 networked encoding workstations, which means that your final product gets the maximum computer power it deserves!

We have very extensive experience with file encoding for Blu-ray as well as digital deliveries, and we utilize some of the leading industry encoding applications and solutions. That fact alone gives you a lot of bang for your buck.

WE ONLY WANT YOUR HIGHEST QUALITY SOURCE

Quality matters and it starts with your source. What sets us apart is that we can and do encourage you to work off the highest source possible. We can ingest from HDCAM-SR / HDCAM industry tape formats, 4K / 2K RED files, 4:4:4 Quicktime, DPX RGB or any high-quality source. Please refer to the tech section below for more detail.

We always make sure that we have the best ingredients to work with.

NEXT GENERATION 3D

As we provide 3D services to the motion pictures industry, we also deliver this technology to you.  We provide complete encoding and authoring support for 3D side-by-side, the standard for consumer 3D TVs.

TECH SECTION

Source selection for encoding: it is advisable to work from the highest quality source.  We highly recommend using an element that has been QC’ed by a certified vendor. For example, it is always a better choice to use an HDCAM-SR tape that has been mastered and QC’ed, as opposed to a file that has not.

Generally speaking, any professional broadcast/delivery 2K or HD source would be ideal. Here is a partial list:

HDCAM-SR, HDCAM, D5 HD, DPX, Cineon, Uncompressed RGB 4:4:4, RED, Cineform, ProRes (HQ/4444), DVCPro HD. We do not recommend using the following as a mastering source: H.264, MPEG2, HDV, WMVHD, AVCHD and any other highly compressed formats.

We offer both MPEG2 & H.264 encoding. We recommend MPEG2 for Blu-ray purposes.

We implement high-quality compression algorithms, favoring a higher number of I frames and the least amount of B frames as well as open-GOP segments.

We create and author Blu-ray discs at 29.97 or 23.98 fame per second.

We also utilize accurate motion-compression and interpolation algorithms to retain maximum quality.
